Well its been a couple of days since we have posted about any blog contest. We’ve been working out a couple of bugs from the other Blog Contest site and hopefully if we can get all the updates/bugs fixed then were thinking about releasing it in a few days. Check out this blog from time to time for an official announcement. Along with the site release we’re also going to kick off the new site with a $200 cash prize. More details later.
I’ve been worried about site traffic dropping off but thanks to our loyal readers and some traffic sent over by Google and various other sites we have actually had more people come and check out the site during the last few days! Contest submission requests have also been piling up and I’m sorry that we haven’t been able to get to them. I’m going to put the new site on hold and try to knock out these submission first. There are a couple of great contests that just started and hopefully everyone will have a chance to check them out. Thanks again for standing by!

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I’ve been trying to complete another site that will allow everyone to submit there contests without waiting for me to post it. I’ve been using my free time to finish this site and should hopefully be done soon. Stay tuned as the site will be launched soon. Don’t worry, I’ll be posting more Blog Contests soon. This morning I found out that our site has been finally ranked by Google and now has a Google Page Rank of 3! For anyone that do not know what a Page Rank is here is a very quick rundown.
PageRank is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page’s relevance or importance. A site is given a PR from 1-10 with 10 being the best. Having a high PageRank helps with getting your site displayed high up in a Google listing. There is more to it but for a more detailed explanation you can checkout this link.

Thanks for everyone thats entered our Blog Contest! We had a lot of great sites submit a post and we appreciate all the help in getting the word out about our Contest! It has been a lot of fun running the contest and being able to check out new Blog Sites from all the contest entries. I wish I can give something to each person that entered but unforunately we can only have 2 winners. The Choosing Process
We used random.org to help make the winning process truely random. I first created a list and added each persons name to the list depending on how many entries they had. I then used random.org’s “List Randomizor” to mix up the list of all contestants (80 entries)(see pic below). I then used the “Interger Generator” and limited to just one number between the numbers 1-80.

I’m at the airport in Hong Kong ready to head back to the USA! Its been very busy week with work and i’m ready to be home. Thanks for everyone thats entered our Blog Contest. Sorry about the lack of post lately. I’ve been trying to take care of stuff on the back end of Wordpress like some theme editing and adding additional plugins. The “Subscribe to Comments” plugin is install and running so if you’re joining our Free $75 bucks Blog Contest, make sure to check mark the box “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” to see the latest postings. Also my current employer decided to send me to China to help with an IT related project. So for the last few days i’ve been traveling from Los Angeles to a city 2-3 hours north of Hong Kong.
